ASEM S.p.A. was founded in 1979 in Buia (UD) by Renzo Guerra, who is its current Chairman and CEO. It is one of the leading Italian companies in the world of ICT and industrial electronics.
It is involved in the major European markets of industrial automation and in the professional channel of IT. Its staff numbers 120, mostly in the technical and R&D departments (about 30% of total staff), and in the sales and marketing department.
ASEM S.p.A. is headquartered in a modern building in the industrial park of Artegna (UD). The building covers 5,200 square meters over a total area of 30.000 square meters. In 2005, a supporting technical-commercial location was inaugurated in Giussano (MI). In 2007, the commercial location was opened in Stuttgart to serve the German market.
The company has nearly thirty years' experience, and has gained a great deal of knowledge on PC platforms and embedded technologies. It is very familiar with the vertical niche markets in which it operates, and controls the entire product innovation process. It dominates basic technologies thanks to special relationships with the main technological trend-setters (Intel, Microsoft, etc.). Because of these factors, it is able to offer new solutions and applications at a faster rate than the competitors.
ASEM S.p.A. is dedicated to the design, production and marketing of solutions and systems based on the open and standard architecture of the PC and of embedded technologies for the application sectors of industrial automation and the professional channel of IT.
The company is involved in a dynamic market that is evolving in contexts which until now have had a low technological content. In these contexts, the potential and pervasiveness have not yet been fully expressed for hardware and software architectures that are open, standard and flexible, based on PC and embedded technology.
